The US killed eight in an attack on a Taliban compound in South Waziristan. A suicide bomber killed 11 security personnel in Mohmand. Seven tribesmen and three Taliban were killed during a clash in Swat; the Taliban captured more than 60 tribesmen and beheaded one.

US and Iraqi troops captured three Special Groups operatives during raids in Baghdad. A policeman was killed in a gunfight and two were wounded in an IED attack in Mosul. Eight Iraqis were wounded in two IED attacks in Baghdad.

Bahul may face life in prison if convicted for multiple counts of conspiracy to commit terrorism, murder, terrorism, providing material support for terrorism.
