The military claimed more than 1,500 Taliban and 42 troops have been killed in Bajaur. Taliban spokesman Mullah Omar is rumored to have been killed. The Taliban in Swat said they would now execute all captured government officials. The majority of Pakistanis believe negotiations with Taliban will solve the problem.
