Iraqi Army infantry and armored forces arrived in Mosul to conduct operations against al Qaeda. Police and Awakening patrols arrested 19 insurgents and eight al Qaeda operatives in Salahadin province. Iraqi security forces arrested six insurgents and defused seven IEDs in Baghdad. A Concerned Local Citizen leader was killed in northern Baghdad when his car exploded from explosives planted inside the vehicle.
