US sources said reports that Lebanese security forces captured Abdullah Azzam Brigades leader Majid bin Muhammad al-Majids are credible. The leader of the al Qaeda-linked group was reportedly arrested in Lebanon on Dec. 29; one report also alleged he had recently pledged allegiance to the Al Nusrah Front in Syria. The FBI is assisting with the investigation into the killing of former Minister Mohammad Shatah.
