A suicide assault team killed 14 people in an attack on a hotel in Kabul. The Taliban killed two ISAF soldiers in the south and four civilians in Jawzjan. Security forces killed and captured several Taliban and Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan leaders and fighters in Zabul, Nimroz, Ghazni, and Paktika. A UAV crashed in the east.
