Video: Pakistani Taliban execute Colonel Imam

Warning: the video above is graphic.

Yesterday, the Pakistani Taliban released video of the execution of Colonel Imam, a former officer in Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence directorate. Hakeemullah Mehsud, the leader of the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan, is seen on the video, directing the execution. The Long War Journal has obtained footage of a portion of the video. The portion where Colonel Imam is shot by one of Hakeemullah’s assassins is blurred.

Pakistani officials have recovered Imam’s body, which was dumped on the streets of the Taliban and al Qaeda stronghold of Mir Ali in North Waziristan.

See LWJ report Hakeemullah Mehsud alive, shown on tape executing former ISI officer, and Threat Matrix report, Who is Colonel Imam? for more information.
