Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula

Qasim al Raymi, the military commander of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, threatened to conduct attacks in the heart of the US. “Today, you have attacked us in the middle of our household, so wait for what will befall you in the middle of yours,” he wrote in an article published in the group’s magazine. “We will blow up the earth from beneath your feet.” The government claimed Raymi was killed in a December 2009 airstrike.
