Afghanistan

The Taliban took control of the remote district of Ajiristan in Ghazni province. Four policemen and four security guards were killed during attacks in Helmand and Zabul provinces. Fifteen Taliban were reported killed in Helmand and 20 were killed in Khost. The Taliban freed two Turkish workers.
