Coalition forces killed al Qaeda’s leader of Mosul. Two US soldiers, two US civlians, and six Iraqis were killed in a bombing at a government center in Sadr City. The US military said a Special Groups operative was behind the attack. Four Mahdi Army fighters were detained in Baghdad; 44 were captured in Hillah; two were captured in Al Kut; and 15 were arrested in Basrah.
