Pakistani Taliban spokesman Maulvi Omar said the Taliban is ready for peace talks with the new government. President Musharraf denied reports in the Telegraph he was prepared to step down rather than be ousted. The Pakistan People™s Party apologized for the past government’s actions in Baluchistan in the past. Three policemen were killed during a shooting incident in Peshawar and another two were wounded in a grenade attack in North Waziristan.
