The Supreme Court ordered the reopening of the religious school on the grounds of the Islamabad’s Red Mosque as all prisoners captured in the July operation have been released, except Maulana Abdul Aziz, the mosque’s leader. Three video shops were bombed in Swat. The Bajaur peace committee has failed to settle issues between the government and the Taliban. Five civilians and a soldier were killed in Taliban mortar attacks in North Waziristan.
