President Musharraf will not attend the Pak-Afghan Loya Jirga, citing security reasons. Ten Taliban were killed in yesterday™s strikes in North Waziristan. Fourteen Taliban, including 10 Uzbeks and Tajiks, were captured in Zhob in Baluchistan while crossing from South Waziristan with weapons and explosives. Eleven polio workers were kidnapped in Bajaur. A bombing in Peshawar destroyed two vehicles, and an explosion at a Bannu checkpoint wounded three civilians. The Interior Ministry denied Dawood Ibrahim was arrested.
