In Deir Izzour, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham designated the towns of Khesham and Tabia as military areas, sending residents fleeing; and ISIS distributed a statement in eastern Deir Izzour refuting rumors that ISIS considers other rebel fighters in the province to be infidels. The Islamic Front in Al Bo Kamal in Deir Izzour demanded that the Al Nusrah Front clarify its position regarding ISIS after reports that ISIS and Al Nusrah cooperated in the city. In Aleppo, ISIS clashed with Al Nusrah, the Islamic Front, and Kurdish YPG forces. Al Nusrah and the Islamic Front battled regime forces in Reef Dimashq, where gunmen blew up a power line, briefly cutting off electricity to Damascus; and in Aleppo. The Islamic Front also fought against regime forces in Homs. State media claimed that Israeli airstrikes killed four people and wounded nine more. Human Rights Watch said militant groups in Syria, including the ISIS, Al Nusrah, and the Islamic Front are recruiting children as young as 14 to serve in battle.
