The Taliban announced that the Afghan High Peace Council would be one of the primary targets in their “Badar” offensive. Security forces killed and captured several Taliban commanders and fighters in Uruzgan, Kandahar, Khost, and Baghlan. ISAF said the Afghan colonel who killed eight US airmen was not associated with the Taliban.
