Turkey has launched artillery, air, and ground attacks against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) targets in northern Iraq. More than 3,000 troops are involved in the operation. The US military said it is “aware” of a Turkish “operation of limited duration to specifically target PKK terrorists in that region.”
