Mohamed Omar Debhi was arrested for suspicion of sending over $82,000 dollars to the terror group responsible for attacks and kidnappings throughout the Maghreb.

Faical Errai ran a jihadist website, raised funds, and recruited fighters for terror groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Chechnya. Spanish authorities have warned that Mokhtar Belmokhtar, an al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb cell, is hiring mercenaries to kidnap more Westerners in the Sahara/Sahel.

The National Court convicted two Moroccans, an Algerian, and a Spaniard for aiding in the March 2004 Madrid train bombings that killed 191 people. The maximum sentence imposed was nine years in prison. Ten other suspects who were accused of helping four bombers flee the police were acquitted.

Judge Baltasar Garzon of Spain is inquiring with the US, Britain, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, and Spain on the whereabouts of Mustafa Setmarian Nasar (AKA Abu Musab al Suri), an al Qaeda strategist and writer who was detained by Pakistan in 2005. Nasar is believed to be involved in the 2004 Madrid train bombings.
