A US citizen of Algerian descent accused of financially supporting Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb has been freed. The judge said that there wasn’t sufficient evidence against Mohamed Omar Dehbi but the investigation remains open. Dehbi used to live in Texas but moved to Barcelona in 2002 and has associated with Toufik Mizi, an AQIM supporter who eluded police in Spain in 2008.
