Masked gunmen blocked roads and closed shops in Tripoli in protest against Hezbollah’s victory in the Syrian city of Qusayr. Clashes continued between the Sunni Bab al-Tabbaneh and Alawite Jabal Mohsen communities in Tripoli. Security forces in Sidon tried to contain protests by residents against a planned rally by the Islamist group Al-Jamaa al-Islamiya in the city.
