Thousands of protesters clashed with riot police on the second anniversary of the intervention by a Saudi force that had helped crush a previous uprising. The state news agency reported the clashes as “acts of terrorism committed by saboteurs for the purpose of intimidating and jeopardizing the lives of citizens.”
