The Detachment 88 antiterrorism unit arrested 11 people in four cities who are suspected of plotting to attack the US Embassy in Jakarta, the US Consulate in Surabaya, the offices of a US mining company near the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, and a police headquarters in Java. The suspects are members of the Sunni Movement for Indonesian Society (HASMI), a new Islamic militant network.
