Hundreds of Hizbul Islam fighters have taken control of the town of Dhobley near the Kenyan border. Shabaab fighters were forced to flee after fierce clashes that left at least 15 people dead. Government forces have embarked on security search operations in major roads. Vehicles and people traveling to Bakara market, a Shabaab stronghold in Mogadishu, are being searched thoroughly.
