One security officer and four combatants have been reported killed in the ongoing counterterrorism operation in Dagestan’s Khasavyurt District. Among the dead is Arsen Asulbekov, rebel leader of the Khasavyurt group. A suicide bomber killed two police officers near the Interior Ministry in Grozny, Chechnya. The head of a detention center in Nalchick, capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, was shot dead. An officer in Ingusetia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations was shot dead in the Sunzhen district.
