US forces killed 20 Taliban fighters during airstrikes in Nangarhar province today in the latest in a series of attacks along the Pakistani border.
The US military targeted “a large group of militants” with “precision airstrikes” in the mountains of the Deh Bala district in Nangarhar, a press release from Combined Joint Task Force – 101 reported. Intelligence report indicated the Taliban were operating in the area. Geo TV reported 20 Taliban were killed in the attack.
Nangarhar is home to Tora Bora, the location of the last major battle of US and Afghan allies aginst the Taliban and al Qaeda in the winter of 2002. Osama bin Laden and numerous senior al Qaeda leaders slipped the cordon and escaped into Pakistan.
The Deh Bala district borders the lawless Khyber tribal agency in Pakistan. Pakistani forces claim to be conducting an operation to root out extremists laying siege to Peshawar, but peace talks between the Lashkar-e-Islam and the government began just six days after the operation began.
The attack in Nangarhar is the latest in a series of engagements with company-sized Taliban forces in eastern Afghanistan. On July 4, the US military said it killed 16 Taliban fighters after an attack on a base in Kunar province, which borders Nangarhar to the north. The governor of Kunar claimed Afghan civilians were killed in the airstrike, and President Hamid Karzai has called for an investigation.
The Afghan Army and police and the US military have repelled a series of attacks in the border provinces of Paktia, Paktika, and Khost over the past three weeks. The Taliban are attempting to destabilize the eastern region and overrun Afghan government centers. Attacks in the east are up by more than 40 percent from last year, according to the US military. More than 200 Taliban fighters have been killed during the clashes. Many of the attacks have originated from Pakistan.

With a 40% increase in attacks into Afghanistan, it doesn’t really sound like these guys are too worried about attacks from their rear to the south and east does it?

Not to insult you, but do you have a wish to see the Infidel military win this war? Would you rather see the Taliban win? You seem to always be on the side of the terrorists. Since you know about them, can you tell me what uniform they wear? Or maybe they don’t wear a uniform.
Why do they always surround themselves with children and civilians? Why do the have their headquarters in or near hospitals or schools? I’m just curious for your comments. You are so full of knowledge. Thanks in advance for your help.

you have asked very simple questoins, they dont wear uniform because they dont have any, you can recognise them by their objectives.
and for that you need to start another kind of mission which we Pakistani are doing, and i m sure only we can do this, because we are living here and very
fimilair with them and our intellegence agencies are having complete data of those who have no uniform they all look like same and they all carry guns, but all of them are not terrorists and most of them are not threat to west and our own country.
This taliban war can be win only by two things, 1st recognise criminals and then attack them, 2nd after finishing taliban infulence in afghanistan and pakistans border area, rehabilitate local people, when they will have good healthy ,luxurious life, their mind set will it self change, because they will have reason for living , but right now those people are just finding reason of dying, and radical muslims (Talibans,Al-Qaida) teaching them bogus cause of jehad.
Islam not teach jehad which Al-Qaida and Talibans teaching local people, Islam is quite peaceful religion its 1st priority is not to disturb peace of anyone, but you can preach.
The Main Cause in world of extermisim is poverty,because of this people are depress and their neurotransmitters are not functioning correctly, and they have not healthy life, they are compelelty fed up of life, thats how and why they are suciding and terrorist organizations are providing them bombs with solid cause you will direct reach to heaven.
Isnt it illitracy ? it is compelet illitracy,we must have to finish poverty,and give them qaulity education so that they can regocnise and understand international relations and law,and help them selves, and will not be miss used.
Tribals are not threat to world they are part of coalition government in pakistan from peshwar ANP has majority seats and they have requested pakistans federal government wipe this dirt out of the area.

This war need passions, using power is to make condtions more worse and it can lead us to the Third World War if we will continuesly abuse our power.
Now we are in nukes era we know little mistake can bring very dangerous results.
We must think again because no one will remain safe.
if our stradegy gets wrong.
So let Pakistanis do their best, and you must force Pakistan government to get serious for this issue and compeletely finish extermisim from your area.
Always remember we dont need talibans, we have armed forces to protect our land, we know about international law and respect others territories.

You still have not answered, in a reasonable way, why the militant fighters don’t wear a uniform. If they have courage, they will wear a uniform and fight like they are not afraid to be injured or killed. Cowards will try not to be identified and hide behind civilians. Not having a uniform is an excuse to be a coward. Why do they have headquarters next to hospitals and schools? Your honest answers, if possible?
