Arrest warrants were issued for six Syrians and one Lebanese who are linked to detained Islamic State commander Imad Jomaa. An Israeli drone detonated a spy device that a Hezbollah operative was trying to dismantle in southern Lebanon, killing a Hezbollah explosives expert and wounding at least one more. The day after the government rejected their demand for the release of inmates from Roumieh Prison in exchange for freeing kidnapped Lebanese soldiers, representatives of the Islamic State and Al Nusrah Front met with new negotiators, who are from Qatar. Al Nusrah released a video showing nine captive Lebanese troops and threatening retaliation for Hezbollah's role in Syria. Officials denied reports that Islamic State fighters were deployed in the mountains of Baskinta and Sannine.
