The Islamic State clashed with regime forces in Raqqah and Hama; battled YPG forces and the Islamic Front in Aleppo; and opened fire on anti-IS protesters in Deir Izzour. The Al Nusrah Front issued a statement denouncing the "spoilers" who exploit the conflict situation by depriving Muslims of food and other necessities, as well as those "subservient" to the US and the Syrian National Coalition. In the Golan border area of Deraa and Quneitra, Al Nusrah stormed the headquarters of the Jund Al Haramen brigade and one of its battalions as part of Al Nusrah's campaign against the "spoilers." Al Nusrah and the Islamic Front clashed with regime forces in Hama, Damascus, Aleppo, and Reef Dimashq. The Islamic Front also battled regime forces in Deraa and Hama. The Islamic Front released a statement rejecting both the Islamic State's caliphate and Al Nusrah's proposed emirate. Regime casualties reportedly jumped last week to their highest level yet in the conflict, and the regime has begun to call up the military reserve.
