State media claimed that Al Nusrah Front emir Abu Mohammed al-Jolani was killed in Latakia; the report has not been verified. Regime aircraft bombarded several villages in Latakia this morning. Regime forces killed some 20 Al Nusrah fighters in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta. A car bomb detonated near a mosque in Reef Dimashq, killing at least 20 people. Kurdish YPG fighters clashed with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham in Aleppo. YPG fighters continued to clash with Al Nusrah, ISIS, the Ansar al-Khilafa battalion, and rebels in Hasakah; an Al Nusrah fighter died in Sefya possibly from an explosion in an Al Nusrah bomb factory. Regime forces battled Al Nusrah, ISIS, al-Khadraa' battalion, and Maghawir Baba A'mru battalion in Homs near a large weapons depot in Mahin; rebels are preventing residents from fleeing several neighborhoods. Al Nusrah issued a video promoting jihad in Syria and claiming that the majority Islamist fighting groups in Syria share military command centers and sharia organizations.
