Regime bombardments killed 12 civilians in the Aleppo town of Tel'eren, which was wrested from the control of Liwa' Jabhat al-Akrad rebels by the Al Nusrah Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham in July. Al Nusrah and Ahrar al-Sham clashed with regime forces near Aleppo Central Prison. Al Nusrah executed 10 regime soldiers in Deir Azzour, and rebels took over a literature college near al-Reshdiya. The OPCW has visited 14 of 20 chemical weapons sites, but has been unable to inspect the Safira military complex due to heavy fighting. The Syrian National Council said it would not participate in the Geneva talks unless Assad first steps down. Nine Lebanese pilgrims held by rebels since May 2012 have reportedly been freed. ISIS released a statement about its expulsion of the Northern Storm Brigade from Azaz; a video of a suicide bomber in Iraq; and photos of a child training camp in Ghouta.
