Rebels clashed with regime and Hezbollah forces near the Khalid bin al-Walid mosque in Homs, but were pushed out, leaving most of Khaldiyeh in regime control. Some 29 people, mainly children and women, were killed yesterday when a regime missile aimed at Islamist and rebel forces in Aleppo missed its target. Helicopters yesterday bombarded Kurdish YPG fighters as well as Islamist and allied rebels in Hasakah province. About 120 fighters have been killed in two weeks of clashes between Islamist and Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria. The president of the Syrian National Coalition claimed that the Kurdish opposition was likely to join the SNC, and accused the Iraqi government of springing 1,500 prisoners from Abu Ghraib and Taji so they could fight against the SNC.
