The Justice Minister said prosecutors will appeal the "lenient" two-year suspended sentences given after a half-day trial to 20 persons convicted of attacking the US Embassy in Tunis in Sept. 14, 2012. The day after the May 28 verdict, the US Embassy expressed its disapproval of the suspended sentences and called on the Tunisian government to "demonstrate that there is no tolerance for those that encourage and use violence to meet their objectives."
