Police arrested two suspected Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb members in Nouakchott Friday evening who are thought to have been linked to the killing of an American aid worker in June. One suspect was wounded in the raid, and one detainee was reported to be wearing an explosive belt. The raid took place a few hours before polls opened for the country's democratic elections.
