Thai security forces captured 53 suspected insurgents during raids in Narathiwat and Yala provinces. Abdulromae Pereesee, a suspected key leader of the Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK). The army claimed the Muslim insurgency is divided and local citizens are helping the military uproot the insurgency. Thirteen civilians were wounded in a bombing at a tea shop in Yala province.
