Israel launched Operation Rising Lion in the early morning hours of June 12 to degrade Iran’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs. Iran began retaliating on June 13 with both drone and missile attacks. June 13–16 were the deadliest and most destructive days of the war for the Israeli home front.
