Video: Taliban execute civilians in Jalalabad bank

Warning: the images in this video are graphic; the Taliban are seen executing civilians.

TOLOnews published video of the Taliban’s attack on the Kabul Bank branch in the eastern city of Nangarhar on Feb. 19. The footage of the massacre was captured by the bank’s security cameras. A clean-shaven Taliban fighter wearing what appears to be an Afghan police uniform and armed with an AK-47 orders Afghan civilians to enter a room, then opens fire on several of them, killing them.

The Taliban claimed the attacks were aimed at Afghan policemen and soldiers who used the bank on payday. But numerous women and children are seen huddling in the mass of civilians at the bank as the Taliban attack. Thirty-eight people, nearly all of them civilians, were killed in the Taliban suicide assault.

The taliban continue to show their true face in these attacks. Fear, intimidation, coercion. Can these people ever be satisfied with any but a brutal theocracy?

I certainly hope this is broadcast across Pak & Afghan to the people. Is this the kind of leadership they want?
