Tales of the Tape

A video of the purported leader of the London 7/7 attacks, Mohammad Sidique Khan, has surfaced, and was aired on Al Jazeera. In the tape, Khan blames “democratically elected governments” for inciting the jihadis, and vows the jihadis will continue to conduct acts of terror until the West surrenders; “Until we feel secure you will be our targets. Until you stop the bombing, gassing, imprisonment and torture… we will not stop this fight. We are at war and I am a soldier.”

Reuters maintains that evidence of a connection between the 7/7 London killers and al Qaeda isn’t forthcoming and leaves much room for speculation;

In the tape, Khan did not claim responsibility for the July 7 attack in the name of al Qaeda but he called bin Laden, his number 2 Ayman al-Zawahri, and al Qaeda in Iraq leader Musab al-Zarqawi as “today’s heroes” and hailed “martyrs” who had given their lives in defense of Islam…But security sources have told Reuters that they had not found any evidence to back up claims an al Qaeda mastermind was behind the attack and said they were not looking for a “Mr. Big.”

Meanwhile, Evan Kohlmann of The Counterterrorism Blog reports that on the same tape, Ayman al-Zawahiri, the man who was praised by Khan, appeared on the same videotape. According to Mr. Kohlmann, Zawahiri states the 7/7 attacks are the handywork of al Qaeda, and al Qaeda will continue to attack the “far enemy” – the West, with a focus on Europe.

“During his portion of the tape, Ayman al-Zawahri described the 7/7 attacks as “9/11” for the United Kingdom and promised more such operations in “enemy territory” in the near future, particularly Europe–because European leaders ignored a supposed offer of truce from Usama Bin Laden issued last year after the 3/11 bombings in Madrid.”

Reuters omits a very important and glaring fact that connects al Qaeda to the plotters of the 7/7 attacks. The presence of Zawahiri on the same tape as Khan is not an easy fact to ignore. Perhaps Reuters and their “security sources” should take a second look at the tape and set the record straight, as evidence of the connection has now surfaced.

  • I recall shortly after 7/7 some ignatz on Wisconsin Public Radio claiming the various governments were working hard to pin this one on Al-Qaeda despite the fact it wasn’t sponsored by AQ. It was hard to see his point since the pundits were quite busily speculating and official news sources were NOT blaming it on AQ. Instead they were calling an AQ inspired group.
Well, now that AQ is claiming responsibility Al-Reuters works to cover it up. Maybe we will see another article from AR on how AQ is an alleged group of mischief makers.
No matter who sponsored the attack. It is an illiberal ideology that is ultimately responsible for the attack.
An ideology that has a solid footing in Londonistan and is not going to be satisifed with the destruction of Israel and the withdrawl of the West from every Islamic land. They talk of prophecies of them bein in the Whitehouse, they talk of establishing a worldwide caliphate. They talk about restoring Andalusia (aka Spain) to its proper Islamic heritage. Never forget that.

If it obvious that Reuter’s wants very badly to project an image of Al-Qaeda not being all that bad. That they themselves might die in an Al-Qaeda attack is an acceptable risk to Reuters.
Reuters leftists are pre-programmed by nature to take actions that hasten their own exit from the gene pool. It is nature’s way of removing waste matter from the evolutionary process.

    GK:
Who is pre-programmed to bring the first aid to New Orleans 5 days after a disaster???? Is this a means of removing the Black “waste-matter from New Orleans?

This is not a political thing. US Senator David Vitter has given the federal government an “F” for their response.
    This is about saving America!

V’dore why don’t you at least try to stay on topic? Why don’t you start your own blog somewhere else………

  • GK says:

Yes, V’Dore is just trying to drown out any good news from Iraq, as it does not suit his political goals. He is just like Reuters.
And it is a well known fact that leftists are more racist than the Republican Party (due to their hateful smearing of Rice, Thomas, Gonzales, Janice Rogers Brown, etc. for ‘not embracing their racial identity’ of working on the leftist plantation. Leftists support abortion because they know that black babies are the ones most often aborted.
This is my final off-topic post on this thread, no matter what V’Dore says.

Your comments about “waste matter” getting drained out of the gene pool sounds a hell of a lot like something Adolf Hitler would say.

  • GK says:

Yawn… more ‘Conservatives are Hitler’ nonsense from a frustrated Stalinist leftist.
Note that I never suggest doing anything to the ‘waste matter’. I merely observe that they already do it themselves, through suicide bombing, abortion, gay marriage, genital mutilation, etc.
I merely observe the common theme in the self-eliminating actions of leftists…..

  • vucommodore says:

You’re using genetic inferiority arguments which are similar to what Hitler did. If you don’t want to sound like Hitler, stop talking about genetic “waste matter”, etc. Talk about ideas and not genetic superiority and nobody will make that comparison.

  • GJ says:

As a Jew, I’m really getting SICK of all these Commie, Pinko, New Leftists, et.al., trying to turn everyone on the right as Hitleresque. Grow Up. Is that the best argument you Idiots can come up with. You have nothing worthwhile to say, probably because of all your 60’s drug abuse.

  • vucommodore says:

    GJ:
He is talking about “genetic waste matter”, “genetic superiority”, etc. I’m sorry but that sounds a lot like some of the ideas of 1930s Germany. Don’t you think these “genetic inferiority” argument are inappropriate at all?? Because if you had any knowledge of Jewish history, this particular argument was made repeatedly. Anyone who believes this “genetic inferiority” garbage is “waste matter” in my opinion.

  • vucommodore says:

This isn’t about Liberal vs. Conservative. I would vote for a good conservative.
This is about a completely failed leader that has demonstrated another failure in his leadership with this disaster.
    BTW GK:
International help is pouring in. France and Germany are providing oil and gas as relief to the US market. You were absolutely wrong.

  • vucommodore says:

100 people died yesterday at the Chalmette port of dehydration and heat exhaustion while waiting for evacuation, the day before significant relief arrived. People also died yesterday at NO hospitals due to lack of supplies. It is unknown how many bodies are in the Convention Center.
Gov. Blanco bears a great deal of responsibility for this also but the buck stops at the President’s desk.

  • Bill Roggio says:

    Enough.
I am tired of hearing about genetic inferiority, Bush Derangement Syndrome, commie this and nazi that, and host of other crap that goes on around here. Talk the issues, or silence your keyboard. I’d rather see zero comments on the posts than what I am beginning to see here daily.
    vucommodore,
You need to get out into the real world some day. The states of LA, AL and MS were devestated, not just New Orleans. If you think you can snap your fingers and have food, water and troops on the ground instantaneously, then you are a simpleton far greater than what is represented in your comments.
There are roads out, bridges down, electrical wires down, no electricity, which means no power to pump fuel and load vehicles, downed trees, and a host of other problems. The people that know how to operate the local infrastructure have had their families devastated by this storm. Your desire to pin blame on individuals over a catastrophy of regional scope is flat out childish. And petty.
