Joint patrol in Nawa

US Marines with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment and Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers conduct a security patrol in the Nawa district of Helmand province, Afghanistan. The Marines and ANA conduct patrols to deter insurgent activity. The Marines are deployed with Regimental Combat Team 3, whose mission is to conduct counterinsurgency operations with Afghan National Security Forces in southern Afghanistan.
