The soon to be commissioned USS New York sails into New York Harbor on Nov. 2, 2009. The amphibious transport dock, laid with seven and a half tons of steel from the ruins of the World Trade Center in its bow, will be commissioned in a ceremony at the Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum Nov. 7.
