US Apaches engage IED cell in Helmand

An Aerial Weapons Team of AH-64 Apache helicopters from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade (Task Force Pegasus) observed six Taliban fighters emplacing an improvised explosive device near Highway 601. The Apache pilots engaged and killed half of the IED cell after ensuring no civilians or friendly forces were in the area. The other three Taliban fighters were also engaged and killed.
