Security forces killed 24 Taliban fighters in Swat and Dir, and killed 12 Lashkar-e-Islam fighters in Khyber. The Taliban released a Greek hostage who was kidnapped in Chitral last year. The parliament passed the 18th Amendment, which devolves powers of the presidency to the premier.
