Yemen

Fahd al Quso, a convicted operative behind the USS Cole attack, is free in Yemen. Al Quso and his counterpart Jamal al Badawi escaped from Yemeni jail in 2003 and again in 2006. They were indicted in absentia in the US on 50 offenses each. “Saleh gave no clear answers about the suspect, Jamal al-Badawi,” during a meeting with FBI Director Mueller, an FBI official noted. “US officials only recently learned that (al-Quso) …remains a free man.”
