Anti-Taliban militia stands guard in Pakistan's Swat Valley

An anti-Taliban militia guards against the return of the Taliban in the Swat Valley. Anti-Taliban militias have been a prime target of the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan throughout Pakistan's tribal areas and districts in the war-torn northwest. In the past week, the Taliban killed a militia commander in Buner, a district that borders Swat and is just 60 miles from Islamabad.
