LtGen Kelly addresses American Legion


US Marine Lieutenant General John Kelly addresses the American Legion National Convention in Indianapolis on August 28, 2012. Kelly spoke of military service and the nature of America and its enemies, and highlighted the sacrifices of service members and their families. General Kelly's son, 1st Lieutenant Robert Michael Kelly, was killed by a concealed bomb while conducting a foot patrol in Sangin, Afghanistan on November 9, 2010. The younger Kelly had previously served two tours in Iraq as an enlisted Marine, including participation in the Second Battle of Fallujah in November 2004.
