Helmet camera view of dismounted IED strike

First-person helmet camera footage appears to show a Marine being hit with an IED inside a qalat on a foot patrol in Afghanistan. According to the description of the video on Liveleak, the Marine survived the blast. This video starkly illustrates the difficulty of spotting Remote-Control or Pressure-Plate IEDs, either buried or mounted within qalat walls, for dismounted patrols.

Fortunately, the Chief was un-injured by the IED blast. Hey, this is war and if you have never seen combat, this is another example of just how ugly and treacherous it is. In a gun fight at least you have a chance.
AQ have IED's, we have drones. This is why the call it the long war.
If we allow Afghanistan to become a terrorist haven we have failed and all of our son's and daughter's who we call hero's will have died in vain.
We need to eliminate the enemy. Maybe a few dozen smart bombs in Karachi to keep the Quetta Shura on the run would be a good start.
