BBC Secret Iraq: The rise of AQI

This excerpt from the fascinating BBC documentary "Secret Iraq," first aired last October, documents the rise of Al Qaeda in Iraq from 2004-2006, capped by the American announcement of the Surge. Relevant quote, from a former Marine corporal who served in Fallujah: "I think that's a pretty good indication of where ... Coalition posture and operations were operating out of in mid-2006, in June 2006. The insurgents we were dealing with were brazen, they were arrogant, and they felt no fear."
