Taliban suicide attack on Afghan MOD; protests in Parwan

Al Jazeera reports on protests in Parwan province, as well as a suicide attack inside the Afghan Defense Ministry in Kabul today that killed two people and injured three. Between April 14 and April 18, the Taliban have launched at least nine suicide attacks throughout Afghanistan. Three of the attacks were especially deadly. In Kunar, the Taliban killed a pro-government tribal leader and nine other Afghans. In Kandahar, the provincial chief of police was killed in his own office. And in Laghman, a suicide bomber who infiltrated the Afghan police killed five US and four Afghan soldiers inside a training complex.
