Apaches blast Taliban gunners in Zabul
AH-64 Apache attack helicopters from the 2nd Battalion, 82nd Aviation Regiment, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, pound Taliban fighters firing heavy anti-aircraft machine guns on the back of pickup trucks in the southeastern province of Zabul. The Taliban were using captured Afghan National Army Ford Ranger pickup trucks and attacked US ground troops from the 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team.
