A senior electricity official was killed by a car bomb in Damascus. The regime and the rebels blamed each other for damage to Aleppo's Umayyad mosque. Regime airstrikes killed at least 30 people, mainly men, at a market in the rebel-held town of Atareb in Aleppo. Abu Bara al Libi, an emir of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham in Hasakah, was reportedly killed in an explosion along with 10 other ISIS fighters. Two trucks detonated in Hasakah near Kurdish YPG bases. The Al Nusrah Front and the Islamic Front battled regime forces in Deraa, Hama, Reef Dimashq, Latakia, and Aleppo, where they were joined by the al Muhajireen wal Ansar army. Al Nusrah confirmed its withdrawal from the al Jandali area of Homs, which was recaptured by regime forces. In Raqqah, ISIS clashed with an Islamic brigade, and whipped a man for walking with his unveiled wife. ISIS released a video featuring Saddam al-Jamal, a former Free Syrian Army and Ahfad al-Rasool Brigades leader, denouncing factions including Al Nusrah that have attacked ISIS allegedly at the instigation of the US, France, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar; he claims that Al Nusrah, the Ahrar al Sham, and the Free Syrian Army share a joint operations room and foreign supplies for their battle against ISIS.
