The Al Nusrah Front and the Islamic Front's Ahrar al Sham battled regime forces for control of the Kasab crossing along the Turkish border. The leaders of the western and central rebel fronts announced a battle to liberate the coast in Latakia. Syrian state media accused Turkey of allowing and assisting the Islamist forces to attack Kasab from Turkish territory; it also claimed that regime forces ambushed and killed a number of Al Nusrah fighters in Adra who had infiltrated from Jordan. In Raqqah, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Sham crucified an alleged thief and lost 18 fighters in a battle with Kurdish forces. In Hasakah, ISIS clashed with Al Nusrah and Islamic Front forces. In Hama, Islamic fighters fired rockets at the Christian city of Mharda. In Aleppo, the Al Nusrah Front and the Islamic Front fought against regime forces in Aleppo city, on Shweinah mountain, and in Lermon. ISIS killed eight Islamic Front fighters in an ambush near Om Al-Qura.
