Officials arrested US citizen Marcos Alonso Zea a.k.a. Ali Zea, at his home in Brentwood, New York, and indicted him on terror charges for trying to travel to Yemen to join al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, supporting the efforts of convicted terrorist Justin Kaliebe to join AQAP, and attempting to hide evidence from US investigators. Court documents disclosed that Sinh Vinh Ngo Nguyen, a Los Angeles man arrested last week trying to join al Qaeda, had already fought alongside rebel forces in Syria and was on his way to Pakistan. The Pentagon has asked for approval to sell $10.8 billion in weapons and equipment to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, including 6,000 GBU-39/B Small Diameter "bunker buster" bombs, and nearly 1,000 "smart bombs" that use GPS systems to fire from fighter jets.
