Unknown attackers bombed the Ras Abeda police station in Benghazi again, wounding five people. A dispute broke out between the Interior Ministry and Benghazi security forces over the lack of security in Benghazi, including the fact that the city's eastern and western gates were unguarded after a mass jailbreak last week. The oil minister rejected accusations of underreporting oil exports and said Libyan oil export meters are defective. A US media report speculated that CIA operatives involved in moving weapons from Libya to Syrian rebels may have been present during the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi last September.
