The Sons of Iraqi killed four al Qaeda fighters after coming under attack in Salahadin province. Coalition forces killed four al Qaeda operatives and detained nine during raids in central and northern Iraq. Iraqi Special Operations Forces captured a Special Groups operative in Basrah. Coalition forces captured a Special Groups operative in Al Kut. Three Iraqis were killed and 15 wounded in an IED attack in central Baghdad. One US soldier was killed in an IED attack in western Baghdad.
